What do you think of my writing? part2?
Heres the second part of my writing! i might even have to post a third if this gets cut off as well!
I sighed and looked over at a small mirror that was hung on the wall. I looked in and saw the same old fourteen year old me. I had auburn hair that reached my waist and was in a plait. My eyes were a dove grey giving people the impression that I was blind. My skin was rough and tanned from traveling along the country side.
I smiled softly and a knock sounded from outside my door. Opening it, I saw Conor, the son of the kind man who allowed me to rest in this room. Conor was a young boy, barely past the age of nine. He was like any other child you would see: cute, expecting and curious face, adorable smile, and immature attitude.
"Zia, my pa wishes to see you. If you aren’t busy. But by the looks of it, you aren’t busy so come on," he tells me. Then, I notice his eyes dart to my letter. "Hey! What is that? Can I see?" He reaches toward my letter and snatches it out of my hands. Turning away, he ran with me chasing close after.
Conor ran outside into a small village called Shadoora, he swerved away from the people that were flocking the streets to a destination unknown to me. He just missed a swordsman who was practicing the art of the sword, luckily not being hit by the weapon. Finally, he stopped to catch his breath and I seized the opportunity to snatch the letter from him. I ripped it from his hands and he turned to face me. "I want to see!" he wailed.
"No. This is mine." I turned away from the upset boy who was obviously angry with me and headed to the owner of the small cabin’s house. I knocked on the door and heard a voice tell me to enter. I opened the door and saw the owner sitting at a table with a book in his hands.
"Ah, Ziarre, welcome. Thank you for coming. Now, how long do you expect to be staying here in this village?" he asked in a wealthy manner.
"I am going to be departing in a fortnight at the most and I wish to know the total cost of the housing and the rest of the pleasures you have given to a girl like me."
"Nothing at all. I saw that you were needy so I decided to help you by the goodness of a man’s heart. And I will not allow you to repay me for my deed," he said with a slight smile on his lips.
"Sir Bradd, I cannot accept your gifts without a charge."
"Ziarre, if you do not quit arguing, I will not allow you to stay any longer."
I let out a long sigh, knowing I could not best the man in an argument. Giving in, I nodded respectfully. "Thank you," I said before turning to leave. I opened the door and another man stood in front of me. He looked as surprised as I did when we ran into each other.
He muttered a barely audible sorry from under his breath and he looked extremely worried. "Sir, we have an extreme problem. I have heard that there is an Apprentice in this town. The houses are being searched by the town soldiers and we just wish to inform you of this matter."
My eyes widened in fear. How did this happen and how did I get exposed. I opened my mouth to tell Sir Bradd that I must leave but only a choke came out. "S-sir Bradd. If an Apprentice is about this village, may I flee?"
The young man and the nobleman turned to face me. "No one is allowed in or out of this place until they are caught. Soldiers, warriors, and swordsmen are to patrol the village. Besides, why would you want to flee?"
"Because, I… am being hunted by the Apprentices. I have an old inheritance that they are after."
Sir Bradd looked at me and frowned. "If that is the case, then, Atheron, take Ziarre to safety. Ask for a horse and set off as soon as possible."
The young man named Atheron looked at me then back at Sir Bradd. "Of course. Come on."
I said farewell to Sir Bradd and ran to the small cabin I was staying in, grabbed my small pack, and headed to the stables to find Atheron. Reaching my destination, I say that he was untying two horses for us to depart on.
I swallowed nervously. What if he found out about me when we were departing? What he do? And the horse… for a traveler like me it was unusual for me to say that I have never professionally ridden a horse. I have ridden a horse before, but, needless to say, I wasn’t the best. But, I still was able to, at least.
I noticed that Atheron was looking at me questioningly. I colored slightly realizing he had asked me a question and I had ignored it. "What was that?" I asked.
"I asked where you plan on heading."
"Oh," I said simply as he handed me the reins to a charcoal pelted mare.
"Well? Do you know or not?"
I blushed even harder of embarrassment. "No, I do not. Just away from here I suppose."
"Okay then." He led his horse outside the stable and mounted it swiftly.
Trying to copy the boy’s example, I jumped up and got my feet tangled in the stirrups. I struggled at first, but, finally, I was properly on the horse. Atheron kicked the horse into a full gallop and I immediately followed. Many of the villagers looked at us in curiosity
nice writing, i LOVE the names
but
try to use less ‘was’s and ‘were’s they are very listy and boring. make your objects have action maybe? less ‘i’ would be nice too, no matter how varied your sentences are, putting ‘i’ in everyone of them kills the flow and the point. plus, your writing is very straight forward, just grazing over everything and not stopping to dwell. Maybe you could spend a little time on the details before speeding off to the next event.
However, i’d like to read more, so possibly you could email you story to me?
Best of luck writing :D:D

you have talent….here’s one I did….. ULTIMATE ALIEN ABDUCTION
Remembering the first time I encountered that beautiful mysterious being that abducted my heart and carried me into her realm where I was paralyzed with awe as she conducted wonderful experiments on this heretofore earthbound soul. When I reflect on those moments my cry button seems to have greater sensitivity….even now as she sits lovingly with her whitening hair tinged with what is left of the gray. This morning as I walked the dogs in the woods there was an unusual quiet and stillness in the air as a dark sky approached from the south. The stillness had a wonderful peace within it and the approaching rain I knew would with the lack of wind fall more gently when it arrived and now at this moment doing just that. The woods out back with it’s deep soft shadows enshrouding it’s beloved creatures with it’s ever present arms. The love that created these things I hold dear become more profound as the captor of my heart draws me gently along into those gentle arms from whence we both surely came…………..some day we will be together in that pool of love that spawns life’s souls…ever present ..unending love.
