Controlling Father access Adult Son's bank account. Pls give advce.?
Best friend was placed in parents custody 2 yrs ago due to some trouble he got into. The father wants 800 bucks a month for rent and my friend sleeps in a tiny bedroom and I swear his mom yells at him non stop if he has a bowel movement in the bathroom cuz she feels the smell would get into wall paper fabric. She enters his room at 2am and yell at him for leaving the 2 hairs on the bathroom floor that she suspect is his. He has no privacy and parents scream, yell and torment each other all day including him. He is 26 and looking for his own place. The economy sucks and he is trying but his dad has been harassing him for his bank acct info. After a month of more verbal abuse and his dad shoving him he gave it to him and now his dad can take money from his acct. Does anyone think this is normal or both ends? I think he should tell his dad to shove it but I have no idea what he is thinking. Any thoughts or advice? I feel so helpless.
what the dad is doing is illegal, as he got the bank account info through intimidation and force. your friend needs to call the bank to have the dad blocked from accessing it, and consider having him charged. that and- move the hell out! if he can’t afford his own place why not get into a share house for a while.

Your friend really needs legal advice and a good lawyer. With all the abuse he’s taking, he should get help. I don’t what size town or city you live in, but most areas have a free legal clinic, that he should be able to find via the Yellow Pages.
Seems he already knows what Hell looks like, and at 26 years old, he should have to put up with it.
You didn’t state the trouble he was in two years ago, but surely he’s served his sentence. If he hasn’t, then get on probation or some other custody. A Legal Clinic of Lawyer, should be able to steer him in the right direction.
